The Alliance for Coffee Excellence hosts its “Cupping The Number Ones” on Saturday, December 14.

Held in Portland, Oregon, the annual coffee event offers attendees the chance to cup the winning lots from the Cup of Excellence competitions from the past year. Coffee from Colombia, El Salvador, Honduras, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Mexico, Burundi, Brazil, and Peru will be featured for attendees to sample, with food provided by Proud Mary Coffee. Tickets are on sale now for $48

Twenty years ago, Cup of Excellence began as a way to set a standard for farmers to receive increased premiums on their coffees. The competitions allow for the recognition of the farmers and their hard work. To learn more, visit its website.
