[H]ouston-based café Katz Coffee is teaming up with the Serengeti Foundation to raise enough money to release a 65-year-old captive working elephant named Phong Sri.

Help save Phong Sri!

As part of the fundraiser, Katz will be screening Love & Bananas: An Elephant Story on Tuesday, October 2, for $20 a ticket. The documentary follows the Elephant Nature Park in Thailand, which frees captive elephants in distress, such as those working as entertainment or providing rides to tourists. Those interested in helping to free Phong Sri who can’t make it to Houston can donate online at crowdrise.com and receive exclusive swag. Katz needs to raise $30,000 to meet their goal.
