[N]ot a scone, pot of clotted cream, or crustless cucumber sandwich will be found anywhere near the upcoming Tea Time Master Class hosted by Pix Patisserie in Portland, Oregon. The modernist French patisserie is welcoming guests to join them for an afternoon of learning how to make an assortment of chic sweet and savory petit fours that impress both visually and in flavor. Students of the class will learn how to make artichoke-stuffed piquillo peppers, mushroom vol-au-vents, goat cheese tarts, Grand Marnier crème brûlée cookies, almond raspberry tea cakes, and Earl Grey chocolate napoleons. A sampling of Townshend teas will also be served. The class will be held Sunday, April 14, 2:00 – 5:00 p.m., and costs $100 per participant.
