Eversys created the Legacy espresso machine series for businesses wanting specialty coffee in smaller spaces. Offices, hotels, convenience stores, pop-up coffee shops, and other coffee concepts with space restrictions are able to access Eversys’ notable brewing technologies without sacrificing physical space or beverage quality.
Due to its size, the Legacy is only available in two configurations:

Legacy 2’L C — Capable of producing coffee and hot water products, no milk steaming
Legacy 2’L M — Fully automated, 1-Step milk steaming and beverage production

The Legacy 2’L S is *coming soon*, according to Eversys.

Performs Best For

Legacy espresso machines are best for small coffee chains, offices, hotels, and other hospitality concepts with minimal space to work with. The Legacy’s minimal footprint combined with flexible menu options and Eversys’ Extraction Time Control technology for beverage consistency make it a logical espresso machine option for those working with limited physical space.

Fresh Cup uses a scoring rubric to rate espresso machines on a variety of metrics. See our scoring rubric:

Program Sophistication Gauges how deep and precise a café’s espresso program can be on the machine, and how much barista training it demands. Level 1 covers capsule or batch-brew stations, while Level 5 delivers full pressure/flow profiling, integrated scales, data logging and IoT connectivity for competition-grade menus. Volume Capability Reflects the peak drinks-per-hour the machine can maintain without recovery issues. Scores run from under 30 drinks (Level 1, boutique bar) to 120+ drinks per hour (Level 5, drive-thru chains or stadium kiosks). Automation Support Measures how many routine tasks the machine handles on its own—dosing, flushing, milk steaming and self-cleaning. It spans fully manual levers (Level 1) up to bean-to-cup super-automatic sequences (Level 5). Extraction Control Rates the operator’s control over brewing variables. Entry levels lock in temperature and pump pressure; mid-levels add independent PIDs and programmable pre-infusion; Level 5 delivers full pressure/flow profiles with live data logging. Workflow & Ergonomics Assesses how the machine’s physical design speeds service and reduces fatigue. Higher scores denote low-profile bodies, cool-touch or auto-purge steam wands, intuitive UIs and other features that minimise repetitive strain. Tech & Connectivity Looks at the depth of digital features—from simple PID displays and shot timers (Level 2) up to Wi-Fi dashboards, cloud telemetry, open APIs and fleet-management suites (Level 5). Design Customization Captures how extensively the machine’s appearance and UI can be tailored. Level 1 models ship in a single finish; mid-range offers swappable colour panels or logo plates; Level 5 machines feature fully modular skins and deep UI-branding options.

Noteable Features

Small Footprint

At just 360 x 640 x 600 mm, the Legacy is Eversys’ smallest machine. This compact footprint packs the performance Eversys’ machines are known for into the tiniest of setups where real estate is sparse, including airport lounges, retail stores, offices, and other business concepts.

175 Shots Per Hour

The Eversys Legacy may be a small-footprint machine, but it can still pull up to 175 espressos per hour, assuming a 23-second extraction time. It can also produce 120 hot water or powder-based beverages per hour using the water dispenser.

Four Coffee/Powder Hoppers

The Legacy line of espresso machines has the ability to house up to four bean hoppers, each with a dedicated grinder. Or, coffee hoppers can be substituted for powder hoppers to house powdered products such as powdered milk, cocoa powder, vanilla, matcha powder, and more.

E’Connect

The Eversys E’Connect Telemetry system gives businesses the ability to remotely monitor machine status and push/pull data as necessary. This feature is beneficial for coffee chains, airport lounges, hotels, and other concepts that need to keep track of beverage consistency, consumption, and machine maintenance across multiple locations.
