[P]ro skateboarder Riley Hawk just opened his first coffee/vinyl shop, Steel Mill Coffee, in Oceanside, California. If that name sounds familiar, that’s because Riley is the son of skateboard legend (and successful coffee investor), Tony Hawk. The 900-square-foot space will serve a selection of pastries, snacks, and coffee supplied by James Coffee Co. Hawk told Eater San Diego that the company plans on building its own roastery and possibly more locations in the future. Shea Cooper, one of Hawk’s longtime friends and fellow pro skateboarders, is a partner on the project and is a coffee roaster by trade.
