Arkansas’ Westrock Coffee Company will soon acquire North Carolina’s S&D Coffee & Tea from Cott Corporation.

In an agreement projected to close in the next few weeks, the companies will remain operating under their separate brand names.

“Our unmatched commitment to customer service, product quality, and our industry-leading sustainability and transparent sourcing practices will remain a cornerstone of our business,” says Scott Ford, Westrock cofounder and CEO. “Our combined organization will seek to lead the industry with our sustainability program and to accelerate the development of a broadening array of innovative products.”

S&D will keep its operations at its North Carolina plant, with future expansions possible.

S&D president and CEO, Ron Hinson, responded on the company’s website: “You can now see why I am excited about this direction. I can assure you S&D’s outlook remains secure and will continue to be a vital contributor to the local community and the broader coffee industry. Now our impact can be even bigger.”
