The Fresh Cup team is thrilled to announce the launch of Espresso Machine Hub. This new platform, currently in beta, is designed to help commercial espresso machine buyers research and discover equipment—all in one place.
If you’ve ever purchased a commercial espresso machine, you know that the process can feel convoluted and risky. Espresso machines are complex—and costly. Despite their ubiquity, there’s still little standardized language to describe their technologies and features. The most useful information is often tucked away in private conversations, or otherwise inaccessible to many buyers.
That’s exactly why Facebook groups and Reddit forums are filled with people asking for advice and suggestions on which espresso machine to buy for their cafe, coffee cart, or roastery.
In my own experience researching espresso machines, what I really wanted were real opinions from fellow professionals, not polished marketing copy. I wanted someone to help me contextualize the differences between key features, not a hard-to-interpret spec sheet. I wanted a place where I could research at my own pace, without being pushed one way or another.
That’s why we built Espresso Machine Hub. We wanted to give buyers a trusted place to discover and research commercial espresso machines—and to create the essential resource we’d always wished for.

Navigating Espresso Machine Hub is simple. When you visit a machine’s page, you’ll find three key resources: a detailed breakdown of its critical features, real endorsements from industry peers, and our seven-point scoring system that rates performance across the factors that matter most to commercial buyers.
We should be clear: Fresh Cup does not sell espresso machines. We’re researchers, journalists, and educators. We strongly recommend consulting your chosen manufacturer and local technicians to finalize your decision and start the formal buying process.
Our goal is to eventually feature every commercial machine that’s sold in the United States. We plan to cover each model using the same fairness and insight that we bring to our editorial work, whether the manufacturer is a formal partner of Fresh Cup or not. Manufacturers who are sponsors of Fresh Cup will be given additional space on their espresso machine pages to share educational resources. Those include in-depth buyers’ guides to their product lines, which recommend specific espresso machines based on pricing needs, business contexts, and other factors.
Currently, Espresso Machine Hub features machines from La Marzocco, Sanremo, and Eversys. These three manufacturers have signed on as partners throughout the early phase of this project, and we’re deeply grateful for their support. Their deep dive buyers’ guides are available on their respective espresso machine pages, as well as in Fresh Cup’s Resource Library.
We chose to launch Espresso Machine Hub in beta because we want your input. This platform will evolve based on how you actually use it, and what information proves most valuable when you’re making buying decisions. If you notice a missing feature that would help your research process, or if there’s a specific manufacturer you’d like us to prioritize next, we want to hear about it.
Over the coming months, we’ll be adding machines from additional manufacturers. We’re also in the process of building out different filters and categories that let you search by specific criteria. And we’re interviewing experts from across the industry to learn more about how to buy the best espresso machine for different businesses and contexts.
Head over to Espresso Machine Hub and start exploring. Whether you’re opening your first location or upgrading existing equipment, we’d love to know how the platform helps your decision-making process. Want to submit an endorsement for your favorite espresso machines? Fill out our endorsement form. We’ll be in touch if yours is published.
Have feedback, questions, or comments? Send us a note. We’d love to hear from you.
